A Modern Take on Traditional
Posted by Paige Albright on
A Modern Take on Traditional The juxtaposition of modern & historical rugs. Traditional elements rooted in history are reimagined, echoing centuries of craft. Influenced from ancient patterns and motifs which create modern fresh color and abstract versions of traditional Persian, Anatolian & Nomadic designs. Motifs are translated into geometric forms and knotted according to pixalated templates. These types of rugs can be easily transitioned to modern decor with their updated colorization, customizable features & open patterns. Bespoke collections made with heirloom quality. A perfect balance to add to any collection. #modernantique All pieces available at PAO
The Woven World

The Woven World of Jijim Rugs Jijim rugs & textiles are flat woven using warp-faced (horizontal) patterning with interchanging colored threads between the weft (vertical). The ground woven threads come through on the face, giving off an impression of embroidery. This technique is usually used to decorate a plain woven textile or to create small ornamental motifs. These type of weavings can be used on the ground as rugs or hung on the wall and used as art. #rugsasart
