Spooky season: Skeletons, Skulls & Tantric rugs

Tantric: relating to or involving the doctrines or principles of the Hindu or Buddhist tantras. In particular the use of mantras,  meditation, yoga and ritual.

Tibetan tantric rugs typically depict the flayed skin of an animal or human and are associated with protective deities. These images serve as seats of power. They depict the detachment from the body in advanced buddhism practices and remove obstacles on the path to enlightenment.
