Long before the Kings coronation, Charles III set out to establish his foundation, Turquoise Mountain. Founded in 2006, TM revives historic areas & traditional crafts. It aims to provide jobs, skills & an overall sense of pride to the citizens of Afghanistan, Myanmar & the Middle East, providing 50 small business’. Since it was founded, Turquoise Mountain has restored 150 buildings, trained 15,000 artisans and treated more than 165,000 patients in Kabul. King Charles’ foundation has supported & generated over 17 million. Turquoise Mountain also supports women weavers & educates their young children.This new generation of artisan entrepreneurs will not only drive economic development but also preserve unique cultures and traditions.
