Today, September 11th 2021, marks the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in America. Alice and I were in New York that fateful Tuesday in 2001 on a rug buying trip. Surreal.
The attacks of September 11th 2001 were a coordinated series of terrorist attacks against the United States by the extremist islamic Al-Qaeda using hijacked airplanes. The world trade center and pentagon were hit while a diverted plane heading to Washington DC crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. There were 2,996 deaths (2977 victims + 19 Al-Qaeda terrorist).
