Afghan Bazaar

Afghanistan is in the middle of one of the world’s most dire humanitarian crisis. It is through our connections in the carpet industry that we have been asked to help. PAO received a special shipment of Afghan pillows, ceramics, bags, and textiles just in time for Valentines Day! ALL proceeds will benefit our friend Rahim’s village in Afghanistan.

Paige met Rahim Walizada in 2000 in his New York studio. Post 9/11 he returned to his home in Afghanistan. He has become a major leader of a new artistic movement that seeks to bring back traditional craft into high and contemporary art. Rahim designs carpet, furniture and architecture. Afghanistan has a long cultural and artistic tradition as it is centrally located along the Silk Route connecting eastern and western cultures.
